Regional Local News Lab Funds
Regional local news funds in places like New Mexico and North Carolina aim to unite place-based and national funders in support of locally-led, transformative approaches to meeting community information needs.
Since 2017, these funds have supported efforts like training from the Center for Cooperative Media in New Jersey, reporting around North Carolina’s recovery after Hurricane Florence, and a counter-misinformation collaboration among Colorado news organizations.
