A Year of Discovery: The Journalism and Media Projects You Fell in Love With in 2016
At the end of 2016 I asked people in my networks what one new podcast, journalist or other media project they discovered this year and fell in love with. I was hoping to surface new voices and was looking for examples storytelling and journalism that inspired, surprised and delighted.
Below are almost 50 recommendations I got. As with any project like this, it is limited by my own social media filter bubbles, so you can make this list even better by adding your own discoveries in the comment section. I hope this helps shine a spotlight on important work you might have missed and introduces you to your next favorite.
